We have received questions about what people can do to help those who have been most impacted by COVID-19. For those that have the capacity to give, donations are the best way to support those most vulnerable and at risk during this time. We have outlined the below resources to identify charitable organizations assisting those affected by the coronavirus.


Should You Give Like Mark Zuckerberg?

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan made big headlines earlier this year with their pledge to give away their $45 billion Facebook fortune. Notable in the Zuckerberg-Chan announcement is that they have formed a limited liability company (LLC) to act as the primary vehicle for their philanthropy. Historically, it has been much more common to create a charitable foundation as the structure for such giving.

While there are unique circumstances that made setting up an LLC particularly attractive for Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, there are lessons to be learned from their approach.
